Procedure For Building A Fence (Residential)

1. No permit is required for a residential fence
2. The fence may be built on the property line
3. Height of a fence in a required front yard shall not exceed 3-1/2 feet
4. Height of a fence in a required side or rear yard shall not exceed six feet
5. Any fence that abuts two or more intersecting streets shall not exceed three feet within the clear vision area of the intersection
6. Get a "locate" before digging
