Sign Requirements

The Planning Staff must sign off on all sign requests prior to building and/or electrical permits being issued.

Wall-Mounted Signs

  1. Requires a Tri-County checklist.
  2. Building permit required.
  3. The fee is based on the valuation of the sign.
  4. Submit two sets of drawings.

Freestanding Signs

  1. Requires a Tri-County checklist.
  2. A building permit is required for permanently installed signs.
  3. The fee is based on the valuation of the sign.
  4. Submit two sets of design drawings.
Illuminated Signs
  1. An electrical permit is required for illuminated signs.
  2. The fee is $90 plus the state surcharge.
  3. Additional fee required for circuits or feeders.
