About Us

The East Metro Columbia-Cascade River District Steering Committee is composed of the mayors from the four cities of Fairview, Gresham, Troutdale and Wood Village. Other members include the West Columbia Gorge Chamber of Commerce, the Port of Portland, and business owners from the area, as well as staff members of the four cities and Multnomah County.

The Columbia-Cascade River District Vision was created and accepted by the cities of Fairview, Gresham, Troutdale and Wood Village in late 2003 and early 2004, under the auspices of the East Metro Economic Alliance. This vision for the CCRD is intended to foster the following desired outcomes:

• Family wage jobs
• Diverse economic base
• Stable tax base
• On-going collaborative decision-making process
• Commitment to community livability
• Timely development
