The City of Troutdale is strategically located in Eastern Multnomah County just ten minutes from the Portland International Airport along I-84 and serving as the gateway to the scenic Columbia River Gorge.  Troutdale is rich in culture, history and small town charm.  Although close in proximity to a major metropolitan area, residents enjoy a slower, more relaxed, pace that provides a distinct sense of separation from the hustle and bustle of city life.  Scenic beauty and recreational opportunities abound in Troutdale with the Columbia and Sandy Rivers, beautiful Mount Hood views, access to snow skiing and wind surfing, golf courses, and a variety of recreational trails.

Troutdale is home to just over 14,000 people who have the pleasure of experiencing the City’s outstanding livability and quality of life.  Historic downtown offers elegant art galleries, specialty shops, and fine dining while other City business areas offer amenities of the more main-streamed commercialized variety.  A plethora of living choices exist within Troutdale to accommodate most lifestyles offering a range from apartment living to luxury detached single-family homes.

There are three elementary schools to choose from along with one middle school and one high school.  Mount Hood Community College is a valuable resource, located on the border of Troutdale, educating the community by offering a breadth of college level courses and training.  Our education resources assist greatly in providing a dedicated and skilled workforce that helps to maintain a growing economy.

Troutdale enjoys a moderate climate at an elevation of 114 feet above sea level.  Our average temperature is approximately 53 degrees with monthly precipitation ranging from 0.8 to 7.1 inches.
