Building Rentals

Rentals and other questions should be directed to Rooney Barker at 503-674-7262  who is available to speak with you from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and from 8 a.m. to noon on Thursdays. If you call at a different time or on a different day, please leave a voice mail message and she will return your call when she returns. The great room and annex in the Sam Cox Building are available for weddings, birthdays, family reunions, retirement parties, and other similar functions year round.  The parking lot accommodates 100 vehicles.

The Recreation Program holds classes in the building year-round and has priority.

  • No alcohol is allowed in the park
  • No outside sales can take place in the park
  • No flammable material is allowed per the Fire Marshall
  • No alterations may be made to the rooms in the building

In the Sam Cox Building, the great room is 2,528 square feet in size and holds 170 people.  Included with the great room rental:

  • 15 six-foot length tables, 4 five-foot round tables
  • 100 chairs
  • Newly remodeled kitchen with two stoves (1 gas & 1 electric), a refrigerator and a freezer
  • An ice machine
  • Sound system hookup to the stage
  • Stage
  • Arbor
  • Meadow area (with benches) and small Shelter C if needed
  • The open park area other than the meadow area cannot be reserved.

The Annex is 960 square feet in size and holds 82 people.  Included with the Annex rental:

  • Six 6-foot tables and 22 chairs
  • No access to the kitchen

Included with the large covered shelter rentals:

  • Six picnic tables
  • Barbeques
  • Electrical hookup

Park hours: April 1 through September 30 – 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
October 1 through March 31 – 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The rooms in the Sam Cox Building may be rented up until 10:00 p.m., but the shelters cannot be rented after the park is close (see above).
