|Police News & Notes|
The men and women of the Troutdale Police Department are dedicated to the safety of our community and excellence in customer service. Our team consists of 24 sworn officers and five professional staff members committed to providing excellent support to the department. In addition to our paid staff, dedicated volunteers supplement these efforts by volunteering their own time in the capacity of reserve officers, office assistants and chaplain.
The Police Department is located at 234 SW Kendall Ct. on the west side of Buxton, just one block south of Columbia River Highway in historic downtown Troutdale. The Police Department is comprised of the Patrol Services, Support Services, Investigations, School Resource Unit and Administration Divisions. Two Troutdale Police officers are assigned to the East Metro Gang Enforcement Team (EMGET) and Tri-Met Transit Police, funded independently from these programs. Officers also work a variety of specialty assignments designed to provide tactical, investigative and operational skills that benefit our community and inter-agency teams throughout the Metropolitan area.
